Community Guidelines

Last Updated: July 1, 2026Effective: July 1, 2026

1. Introduction

DAILY was built around a simple idea: share one authentic photo, every day, and build a habit and a community around consistency and honesty. That idea only works if the people who use DAILY feel safe, respected, and genuinely represented. These Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") set out the standards of behavior we expect from every person who uses DAILY, and they apply to every piece of content and every interaction on the Service, including photos, captions, comments, reactions, profile information, and reports.

These Guidelines form part of our Terms of Service. By using DAILY, you agree to follow these Guidelines. Violations may result in enforcement action, up to and including permanent removal from the Service, as described in Section 6 below and in our Content Moderation Policy.

2. Who These Guidelines Apply To

These Guidelines apply to every user of DAILY, regardless of how long you have used the Service, how many followers you have, or how you found DAILY. There are no exceptions. You must be at least 16 years old to use DAILY.

3. Our Core Principles

Before getting into specific rules, it helps to understand the values behind them:

  • Authenticity – DAILY is meant to reflect real moments from your actual day. Do not use the Service to spread deception, impersonation, or fraud.
  • Respect – Every person using DAILY deserves to be treated with basic dignity, regardless of who they are.
  • Safety – Content and behavior that puts any person, especially a minor, at risk of harm has no place on DAILY.
  • Accountability – Because moderation on DAILY always ends with a human decision, you can expect that enforcement actions are considered carefully and are not the product of a fully automated system.

4. Prohibited Content and Behavior

The following categories of content and behavior are strictly prohibited anywhere on DAILY, including in photos, captions, comments, reactions, usernames, profile photos, and bios.

4.1 Hate Speech

We do not allow content that attacks, demeans, dehumanizes, or promotes discrimination or hatred against individuals or groups on the basis of characteristics including but not limited to race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion or religious belief, disability, serious illness, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, sex, age, or immigration status. This includes slurs, stereotypes intended to demean, and symbols or content widely recognized as associated with hate movements.

4.2 Harassment and Bullying

We do not allow repeated unwanted contact, targeted degrading comments, pile-on behavior, or any content or conduct intended to intimidate, humiliate, shame, or demean another user. This includes coordinated harassment campaigns directed at a specific individual.

4.3 Threats

We do not allow content that threatens violence or physical harm against a specific person, group of people, or property, whether the threat is presented seriously, as a "joke," or otherwise.

4.4 Illegal Content

We do not allow content that violates applicable law, including content that facilitates, depicts, or promotes illegal activity such as the sale of illegal goods or services.

4.5 Copyright Infringement

We do not allow content that infringes the copyright or other intellectual property rights of a third party. If you did not create the content yourself or do not otherwise have permission to post it, do not upload it to DAILY. See our Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy for how to report suspected infringement.

4.6 Spam

We do not allow repetitive, unsolicited, deceptive, or bulk content, including fake or artificially inflated engagement (such as fake followers, reactions, or comments), misleading links, or automated bulk posting.

4.7 Fraud

We do not allow content or conduct intended to deceive other users for financial or personal gain, including payment fraud, subscription fraud, or account fraud relating to DAILY Premium, phishing attempts, or misrepresentation designed to extract money or personal information from other users.

4.8 Impersonation

We do not allow accounts or content that impersonate another person, brand, or entity in a manner that is misleading or deceptive. This includes creating an account pretending to be someone else, or falsely claiming an affiliation you do not have.

4.9 Sexual Exploitation

We have zero tolerance for content that sexually exploits or endangers any individual, and especially for any content that sexualizes or endangers minors in any way. Any such content will be removed immediately upon discovery, the associated account will be permanently banned, and, where legally required or appropriate, the matter will be referred to relevant law enforcement or child safety authorities.

4.10 Violence

We do not allow graphic, gratuitous, or glorified depictions of real-world violence, gore, or self-harm. Content that appears intended to promote or encourage self-harm or suicide is strictly prohibited.

4.11 Harmful or Dangerous Content

We do not allow content that promotes, instructs, or facilitates activities that pose a significant risk of physical, financial, or emotional harm to any person, including dangerous challenges, activities, or misinformation likely to cause real-world harm.

5. Reporting Violations

If you see content or encounter behavior on DAILY that you believe violates these Guidelines, please use the in-app reporting tools to report the relevant post, comment, or user profile. When you submit a report, it is first analyzed by our AI-assisted moderation system. If the AI determines that a report warrants further attention, it is escalated to a human administrator for review, as described more fully in our Content Moderation Policy.

Please only submit reports in good faith. Submitting deliberately false or malicious reports intended to harass another user is itself a violation of these Guidelines and may result in enforcement action against your own account.

Repeated submission of knowingly false, malicious, or abusive reports may result in escalating enforcement action against your account. Users who repeatedly misuse the reporting system may receive warnings, temporary restrictions, temporary suspensions, or permanent account termination, depending on the severity, frequency, and intent of the abuse.

6. Enforcement

6.1 How Enforcement Works

Reported and flagged content is reviewed through a combination of AI-assisted analysis and human decision-making. AI tools may detect possible violations and recommend content or reports for human review, but they do not make final decisions. All final enforcement decisions — including whether content is removed and whether an account faces a warning, restriction, suspension, or permanent ban — are made by human administrators, applying these Guidelines and our Terms of Service.

6.2 Possible Consequences

Depending on the nature, context, and severity of a violation, and whether it is a first-time or repeated occurrence, consequences may include:

  • No action, if the content or report does not violate these Guidelines
  • Removal of the offending content
  • A warning issued to the user responsible
  • Restriction of certain account features
  • Temporary suspension of the account
  • Permanent ban from the Service

6.3 Severity and Repeat Violations

More severe violations — such as those involving sexual exploitation of minors, credible threats of violence, or serious fraud — may result in immediate permanent account termination without prior warning. Less severe or first-time violations may result in a warning or temporary restriction, with escalating consequences for repeated violations.

6.4 Repeated Violations

Repeated violations of these Community Guidelines may result in progressively stricter enforcement actions.

While each case is reviewed individually, users who repeatedly violate these Guidelines (typically three or more confirmed violations) may have their accounts permanently suspended.

DAILY reserves the right to apply stricter or more lenient enforcement depending on the severity, frequency, intent, and overall context of the violations.

7. Appeals

If you believe that a moderation decision affecting your content or account was made in error, you may contact us at support@dailyemoji.app to request a review. Please include your username and any relevant details about the decision you are appealing. A human administrator will review your appeal.

8. Relationship to Other Policies

These Guidelines work together with our Terms of Service, Content Moderation Policy, AI Transparency Policy, and Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy. In the event of any inconsistency between these Guidelines and another policy on a specific topic addressed in more detail elsewhere (such as intellectual property or AI moderation), the more specific policy shall govern on that topic.

9. Changes to These Guidelines

We may revise these Guidelines from time to time as our community and the Service evolve. We will communicate material changes through the App. Continued use of DAILY after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Guidelines.
